As the Climate talks continue in Copenhagen, we begin to notice that our state and national view on climate preceptions are not only underestimated, but far less urgent than those who understand that inaction will have catastrophic impacts.
The Power Shift Crew is back at it to bring you another installment of excitement, education and infrastructure change to Michigan. Saturday, December 12th we introduce "Awaken the Prez," a day long event that empowers local communities and its residents in conjunction with President Obama's voyage to the Global Climate Negotiations in Copenhagen. The day will begin with a Basketball Tournament that works within the "Its Game Time Obama" campaign(itsgametimeobama.org), which will have participants across the state of Michigan competing at the highest level, w
Ninety one years ago this coming Wednesday, in the eleventh hour of one of the deadliest conflicts in human history, world leaders gathered to declare an armistice—an end to World War I.
This Wednesday, November 11—as landmark energy and climate legislation is debated in the U.S. Senate, and as world leaders everywhere prepare for the UN climate negotiations in Copenhagen this December—hundreds of Michiganders will gather in downtown Detroit for an Eleventh Hour Rally and March. We will speak with one voice to demand immediate Senate action that ensures clean energy job creation and environmental justice for Michigan, and bold climate protection measures for the world.

As sand runs low through the climate hour glass, Michigan and its citizens will unite to make an eleventh hour statement. This Wednesday, November 11th, in Downtown Detroit, we will rally and march together to alert our senators and the state that it is time for new, progressive, climate policies.
